Mojdeh Bahar exhibit

Mojdeh Bahar exhibit in Chapel Gallery
The FPC Visual Arts Committee begins 2006 in the Chapel Gallery with the works of mixed media artist, Mojdeh Bahar. While studying art in her native Iran, she was influenced by teacher Master Mahmood Farshchian, master of Persian miniature painting, and has since incorporated the color, line, and spirituality of that style into her work.

Mojdeh’s exhibit showcases her imagination and versatility with striking abstract watercolors, colorful glazed tiles, and her unique combination of watercolor, gesso, and fractured silicon wafers that change color as light catches them.

Mojdeh has shown in art exhibits from Tehran to North Carolina, Maryland, and Oregon, with four "One Woman Shows" and numerous prizes from group competitions to her credit. She has permanent corporate installations, and has designed book covers. The works in this exhibit can be purchased, with a portion of each sale going to the FPC Visual Arts Committee for future exhibits.

The exhibit runs from January 15 through March 19 in Chapel Hall. Viewing hours are M - F from 10 am to 4 pm and Sundays from 9 am to 12:30 pm and during Celebration Works recitals.
