Pastoral care blessings
We are family. We care about and for one another. We are blessed to be a blessing for each other and for our neighbors. Our Parish Life Ministries, everything we do to promote and express care, can be summarized by the phrase "pastoral care."
Of course pastoral care means care by our pastors, but it is more than that. Pastoral care is the work of the deacons, Stephen ministry care givers, and our fellowship together. Counting on our blessings means giving thanks for the financial and personal resources we use to reach out to one another in times of life transitions and rites of passage: weddings, baptisms, hospital visits, crisis interventions, funerals and grief counseling. Counting on our blessings means giving thanks for the facilities where we gather to care for and with one another. Menucha, our sanctuary, our parish house, and our plaza are the spaces where we meet for companionship. Please consider the importance of pastoral care when you are making a decision about your pledging and giving to our church for 2008. |
