Getting started

Simply call 503-281-3318. Our receptionist and intake coordinator will answer questions and, if you wish, take some information and have a therapist call you to make an appointment. You will be called promptly, often the same day.
Sessions last 45-50 minutes. During the initial session, your therapist will ask about your problem and its background, and then you will both discuss your goals and ways to meet them.

Therapists

SCC staff members are highly qualified mental health professionals who place significant value on the spiritual experience of every client. They are fully trained to listen, empathize, and guide your healing process — giving you the tools to use to recover a sense of wholeness.

Problems Treated

Clarifying a client's problem can often be the first step of treatment. Then various options can be discussed. The SCC offers assistance with a variety of personal, relational, and spiritual issues, including:

	Marriage, family, relationship difficulties
	Coping with loss or grief
	Separation, divorce, or remarriage issues
	Employment/Unemployment stress
	Issues of faith and meaning
	Struggles with depression or anxiety
	Pre-marital concerns
	Mid-life issues
	Dilemmas of parenting or aging

Clergy Education
	Occasional events for clergy support and further training

	These programs emphasize psychotherapy with spiritual values

Fee Structure

SCC charges a standard fee based on the cost of providing the services, and a client's health insurance may cover it. However, almost two thirds of SCC clients receive financial assistance, depending upon need and availability of funding.
