Alder Street Sextet recital, June 12, 2005

Alder Street Woodwinds Don't miss the final concert of the Celebration Works season! On Sunday, June 12, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel, the Alder Street Sextet will perform music for piano and winds played with joy and energy. The Alder Street Sextet plays regularly in worship at First Presbyterian, and they plan to repeat some of the congregation's favorite pieces on the recital. The recital will include Valerie Coleman's Umoja, local composer Mark Filip's arrangement of Ottorino Respighi's Adoration of the Magi from Trittico Botticelliano, William Grant Still's Miniatures for flute, oboe and piano, François Poulenc's Sextour for piano and wind quintet, and Rezsö Sugár's Frammenti Musicali.

Tickets are on sale in Geneva Hall after worship. Adults: $10. Seniors and students: $5.
