About This Course
This segment is brought to you by “Feasts and Festivals,” which is our Sunday School’s theme for April 24th - May 15th.

The main idea for these four weeks is that “Jewish special days help us understand how Jesus lived and remember what God has done. We can remember all that God has done and give thanks.”

The objective is that “children (and others young in faith?) explore and gain appreciation of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Hanukkah, and Sabbath [also spelled ‘Shabbat’].” Because the Festival of Pentecost comes at the end of this unit we have included it.

To hold down the number of PDF pages, this series looks at only the Sabbath, Hanukkah, and Pentecost.

The lesson materials we use are from the PowerXpress! series published by Abingdon Press. If you want to know more about this lesson series, go to http://www.cokesbury.com/curriculum.aspx?subsection=9&sid=126
